In suburban neighborhoods, incredibly, dog barking can be as inevitable as road noise in homes near highways.
However, if your neighbor’s dog barks incessantly every time you step into your yard or howls all night, to the point that it affects your quality of life, you don’t have to grin and bear it.

Section. 1.7 Noisy Dogs
No person shall allow the continuous barking, yelping, whining, or howling of a dog,
such that the situation becomes a nuisance to the public.
The local Barangay may be asked to take appropriate legal steps to correct the situation, on the basis of a complaint file with its office.
Under Article 694 of the New Civil Code, an act, omission, establishment, business, condition of property or anything else that “annoys or offends the senses” is a nuisance, and under Article 695, a public nuisance affects a community or neighborhood or any considerable number of persons.

SEC. 2. Section 6 of Republic Act No. 8485 is hereby amended to read as follows:
SEC. 6. It shall be unlawful for any person to torture any animal, to neglect to provide adequate care, sustenance of shelter, or maltreat any animal or to subject any dog or horse to dogfights or horsefights, kill or cause or procure to be tortured or deprived of adequate care, sustenance or shelter, or maltreat or use the same in research or experiments not expressly authorized by the Committee on Animal Welfare.

I need some advice on a neighbour dogs they are neglecting them starving for food they are howling all night and day I have allready filed a case with the local office and they have been warned regarding cruelty but still nothing has been done I’m a animal lover from the UK and I hate neglect towards any animal

Hi.
Kindly please help me on this matter,may dogs are inside our premises and fence gated, the scenario is that when may neighbor is passing by our gate our dog will barking on them,and this neighbor is complaining that we need to leash or cage our dog,my reason is that our dogs are on our gated premises so why do i need to so.
Can someone give me advise for it
